About the Workshop
Collagraph printmaking is an additive process whereby shapes are added to the plate in order to create a raised surface. The workshop will incorporate user friendly materials such as cardboard and foam, which can be easily accessible to begin printing at home. The workshop will explore the use of collagraph printing as a form of communication, self-expression, and a visual language through imagery.
Students will take away basic printmaking techniques and understanding of the printing process. Students will learn various printing methods such as hand printing and use of printing presses. This activity will be an engaging and enjoyable activity for all levels of printmakers, artists, and creative types. The overarching goal will be to make multiple prints and have fun!
