Batik Worskhoop with Voonbin Leow

Learn the art of Batik - a meditative Malaysian tradition of watercolor painting on textiles. Once completed, smaller pieces can be hung on the wall as a painting while larger pieces can be washed and dried and turned into scarves, shirts, or even sarongs. During the workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting on fabric, how to use the "tjanting" wax pen to draw their own design.

About the Workshop

A 2 hour meditative workshop immersed in the captivating technique of batik. We start with the fundamentals of proper use of the tjanting and continue to learn various coloring techniques to bring out the details and beauty of your batik painting.

RSVP Required. Limited spots.
